Depending on the health of the gums will determine the type of cleaning. Not all patients are eligible for a basic cleaning. Dr. Amy takes her time to review your oral health. Your exam will consist of oral cancer screening, periodontal charting and will diagnose any issues of concern. We recommend patients be seen by Dr. Amy every 6 months to ensure your oral health stays great.

Fillings and crowns are quite common and as most people have received at least 1 in their lifetime. Fillings are used to repair cracked or broken teeth in addition to filling cavities. Dr. Amy offers tooth colored fillings and crowns to match the color of the rest of your teeth. Years ago, dentists would fill decay holes with a silver amalgam. With today’s advancements and technology, we are now able to offer tooth colored fillings.
A dental crown is needed when the majority of the tooth has fractured or cracked. Like dental fillings, crowns are also needed if most of the tooth has decay. Call our office if you have any questions.
Endodontic Treatment: The word “endo” means inside and “odont” means tooth. Endodontic treatment consists of removing the damaged area of the tooth (pulp), cleaning and sealing the tooth. Root canals are needed if decay has spread to the nerve.
